In September of 2015, I became a father for the first time in my life. After discussing it for a year or so, my wife and I decided to embark on the journey that is parenting, and we hit the jackpot with Emily, a precocious little girl whom we wouldn’t trade for anything.
I’m not an expert in child-rearing, pediatrics, or child psychology. I’m just a programmer who’s fortunate enough to have a wife who’s an excellent mother and a daughter who has turned out to be more than I could ever ask for.
When you’re a new parent (or announce that you’re expecting), you get a lot of advice from friends, family, and total strangers. Some of this advice will be worthwhile, some will be…well, not for you. As a parent, it’s up to you to decide what’s right for your family and what to ignore. With that in mind, these are a few blog posts I’ve written on the topic of parenting:
